peekay - I am going to make a HAB and a Mei Tei - I figure for the same amount as either I can get both! Cotton jersey is the stretchy fabric - from memory you don't want anything too stretchy though, something with a little stretch is fine. One of my baby buddies made a HAB and they are literally a long piece of material so you can make them very cheaply. Its all in the wrapping!
