bump..............
I have just been reading some online reviews and they're all saying its a poor quality pram and breaks too easily, I need some reviews please.
Is it lightweight?
Does it pusg well?
Is it flimsy?
What about the doubles seat?
Does it take up alot of bootspace?
overall rating out of 10???
Anymore info for me??
bump..............
I have the phil and ted dash and love it!!!
easy to push, easy to fold
Only thing i dont like as it takes up lots of boot space, and is heavier and more cumbersome to get out of boot than stroller. when going away the boot space is an issue on a normal day to day going shopping it is fine.
I havent used with double kit as currently only one child.
I have 2 friends with sports and double kit and both love it and a friend with vibe and double kit who love it
I've got the dash too. I recommend you go to the shop, have a look at one and measure it to see how much of your boot it will take up.
I personally think the jogger strollers are great for walking on sealed surfaces - footpaths & roads & at the shops etc. When we take ours off-road it feels a bit unsteady with the doubles kit on. (We've got the toddler seat on the front atm cause Phoebe is lying down).
But I like the P&T seating system - I didn't want a side-by-side one because Natty won't be in a stroller much longer, and when she's at childcare I can just have the one seat.
I find it easy to fold/unfold and the toddler seat is very easy to attach/detatch. I don't find it any heavier than the bertini shuttle I had before, but there are definitely lighter, more compact strollers out there.
Go have a look at one in the flesh if you canHTH.
I have seen them in the "flesh" lol
My friend has one, but i just wanted other reviews as well![]()
we have the phil and teds sport, i really love it. its a bit flimsy but i think it folds up easier and is lighter and narrower compared to other 3 wheel prams. the break can be hard to put on and off but that doesn't bother me. i haven't used the double kit on the pram yet, but you can also use it as a bouncer/chair, which is what i do. i find it easy to push, although i use a mclaren stroller for quick trips. but saying that i do only have one bub at the moment, not sure how it would go with 2 kids. we also choose it because at the time it was cheaper than others we were looking at, and that was a deciding factor for us.
i think its best to go and have a look and try a few to see if you like it.
overall i'd give it a 7/10
goodluck!
Thanks guys, Im contemplating whether to buy the cocoon or not he is already 13.5 weeks so theres probably no point is there?
Hi
I have the Phil and Teds Classic
Re the coocoon I wouldnt buy one, we didnt use one after 3 months with both our girls, just use blankets or a sleeping bag?
Bootspace - takes up 1/2 my boot (have a mazda 3) - hard to get in and out of my boot as its a sedan
Pushing - great - turns one handed when u only have 1 child in there.
double seats - do you mean toddler seat? when baby is in newborn position and toddler seat up top it ok depending on how much your toddler weighs. Julia was squashing Tara's legs for a while there as she is 15kgs. Also hard to get to the basket at the bottom of the pram
Flimsy? - not at all we have had ours for 3 years now and nothing has ripped or broken.
Lightweight - not really 11kgs is not lightweight after we have been using a Maclaren stroller thats 6.5kgs
Overall rating - meeh 6/10
pantwearer we only used our cocoon for 4 months - ds was a small bub - but it was great, i would even put him to sleep in it on the kitchen bench when we were at home, lol.. and great for going out or visiting friends.
yep, i wouldnt waste your money! wait till next time
ds is only 8.6kg now! so i could keep squezzing him in it for a bit longer and get my money's worth!
We have a sports and love it. Use it with the doubles too as my 3yo doesn' walk very fast and i have to dash Osc to school heheh
It's such a great pram - it's my 5th so am quite expereinced at prams! Only reason i didn't get one straight away was that i lived in Townsville and you couldn't get them there 5 years ago!
It turns on a sixpence easily with one hand when fully loaded. Certainly wouldn't describe it as flimsy. teh design is great and they seem to have thought of everything.
I think it folds up nice and small though can't really comment on boot space as we have a terry and they have huge boots so not an issue but my friend used to have a golf and hers fitted in there fine.
Can't sing it's praise high enough!
good luck

eta would give it 9.5/10
I am trying to love my P&T Sport. It's not bad, but I don't think I'd buy it again if given the choice.
We only bought it as I thought it was the best solution for a newborn and a toddler. Am still awaiting the birth of #2, but have been using it for DD since its purchase. Grr, DF was using the zips and broke off both of the P&T tags.
I find it difficult to unfold, it's kind of hit / miss for me atm. However I have mastered folding it up.
Steering wise it's brilliant, but I find going for walks along the local creek or anywhere on a slight hillside it's quite unstable. (That's probably the case for most 3 wheelers though?).
I have the red one, I think if I could go back in time I'd select the black one in hope that marks / food spillages don't show so easily.
One thing I do miss on it is the lack of space for carrying bags (whether it be shopping bags or a nappy bag) - so I got my dad to make hooks which attach to each side to use for bag carrying, which actually adds to the overall stability.
I have a stationwagon so space isn't an issue for me.
Good luck with your selection!
i have a spport with the double kit , i dont think its flimsy at all , DH loves it and i like it , bit heavy and doesnt take up boot space ,becasue i have a fairlane the the boots are massive lol .
i have the double sunshade aswell .. i dont think they are a waste of money , but i think the vibe is a waste ,it seems flimsy to me . the sport has better features and nothing on mine has broke , i have a blue cammo one , it can get a bit grotty , but unless your perfect and so is your child - your gonna get a grotty pram lol
i want to love it, but i don't! I bought it cos I want the double feature too. The straps on the back of my seat were faulty and I couldn't actually do it up for ages, and had to hassle the shop where I bought it for YONKS before they sent me a new one, so that may not have helped.
the good
I love it's easy to steer one handed
like the double functionality
like the "lock" when folded
the bad
hate the brake (I walk a very rambunctious doggie - I CANNOT put the brake on and control her in a safe manner - but that's my situation, so slightly unique)
hate the lack of ease to sit the child up if they've woken up after a snooze IYKWIM
overall: 6/10
I'm going to sell mine and buy a vibe - I need something with an easier brake and I still want the doubles kit.
Oh and if you're looking for something like a cocoon - we bought a pramskins double bag, and it is the best! Will last much longer for a bigger baby (still use it with DS who is 10kg) and it's great in melb winter. The "top" blankie zips off so you can use it like a liner or like a bag.
