Thanks for the input guys Im so much less confused on this one now And Im getting the idea that I dont really even need a snuggle bed, so long as they are wrapped or in a sleeping bag rather than under blankets......Hmm so much to get my head around LOL

I would have loved to have a cradle, but never got one. All mine had a cot. DS was actually in a porta cot for the first few months til he went out of our room.

MIL made me promise to never have a bassinette coz she lost her DS3 at 3 months old in a bassinette to SIDS. I won't tell you how coz it sounds horrible, but I would never buy a bassinette now.

My DD1 went straight into a cot from birth following the SIDS guidelines, I got a free bassinett from a friend for DD2 (DD1 wasn't in a big bed yet and I didn't want to rush her into a big bed) and used that till the cot was set up again for DD2 to use.

Baby #3 will use the bassinett till he/she grows out of it as it does come in handy rolling baby around the house so he/she isn't alone to sleep.........All my kids sleep in the lounge room with the noise during the day and in a quiet room at night time when they are new.

    Cheers,
