yep we got a wollen topper for DD as her bed was 'uncomfortable ' for her!!
    grrr
its really thick and plush and was around the $199 mark from target
DS1 has a topper as well, but his is from bigW and is heaps thinner- but heaps cheaper and he is happy as with that one- go figure!!
    good luck hun
sometimes you can get them cheaper at DFO!

We were looking at getting a mattress topper for DS's cot, but I wasn't so sure on the wool considering on warm it can get here.
I ended up getting a mattress protector from Pillowtalk. It's not overly thick like a wool topper would be, but it does seem to help DS sleep a little better.
We originally thought of it because we got one for his portacot and he slept better on it than his cot.
The other good thing about it is it doesnt take so long to dry out (apart from the fact we are in sunny qld) because it isnt too thick.

Don't have a mattress topper, but we got some egg shell foam for DS porta cot as that was not comfy at all. He seemed to sleep so well we got it for his cot also & has worked a treat & for much less.
