Aarrrrggghhhh, just when I think I have made a decision...(about prams ) something else comes along I had decided on the Baby Jogger City Mini Double...but...
I got a catalogue with the new MB duet, looks awesome on paper
- really narrow, only 63cm wide!!!
- I can get a travel system adaptor (which I loved with my single pram)
- cheaper rrp than the BJ city mini double ($749 v $849)
- bigger/better wheels
But
- I think it is a bulkier fold
- it's heavier (but studier probably)
- it's relatively unproven ( it's new)
Who has a MB pram? Are they good, bad, average, awesome.... Has anyone seen the MB Duet "in the flesh" there is a baby expo in Sydney at the end of the month where I guess I'll be able to see it myself, but I need to talk about this now And my DH just I'm crazy!
I am not normal so indecisive... I blame pregnancy!
I have a MB Urban Elite. It is a fantastic pram, very sturdy and easy to push and steer. But it is very heavy and quite bulky when folded. I now use my Bugaboo Cameleon for shopping and the MB for outdoor walking, markets etc. Have you looked at the Bugaboo Donkey?? Ooooohhhh.... I like it! (Pricey though!)
After my many deliberations I actually went with the Love n Care Twingo it will allow me to have bub facing me on one seat and my DS facing out on the other(side by side 74cm) There is also a capsule adaptor available in the US so I can have a travel system. I know realistically I'll prob only need a double for 6-9 months and this pram ticked all my boxes for a (much) cheaper price. I think I'll then upgrade my single stroller to a BJ city mini with a skateboard
The mb duet still looked and felt big, even though it was narrow iykwim? I also considered the BJ city mini double , BJ city select and Stider plus but none had seat config I needed! I'm a real pram whore so all the research was fun
