Hi,
Just wondering if anyone out there has a Mothercare Spin or knows anyone who is using one?
I played with one at the Baby expo a couple of months back & loved it. It seems really light & easy to fold. My criteria would be - suit newborn to toddler, light, manouverable & reasonable quality.
The more I look at prams, the more confused I get.
Hi there, I want one of these too, and no its not the cheap version of the bugaboo if you look at the frame, however there are cheap versions of the bugaboo if you want one like the love and care nova 4 wheeler, or steelcraft strider 4 wheeler or close to it steelcract cruiser. Or Mothercare My Choice.
There is a cheap version of the Mothercare Spin hon called First Years Wave pram if you know someone in America or you want to purchase it from there, its the same cost $299.
Babies Galore soon to be relabled Mothercare in Aust in March so im told by them, has the Mothercare spin at the moment for $691 which is on sale 25% off. or the My Choice from for approx $500.
Hope this helps! ps I have looked on ebay but no second hand mothercare spins boooo
ETA I forgot to say, I looked at the Love and Care Nova and also the steelcraft cruiser yesterday and they are great if you want a capsule to attach to the frame for newborn, but unless the newborn has reflux the seat that it comes with (not a bassinet) doesnt lie flat enough for newborn unless baby has reflux even then doesnt look that comfy for newborn.
Just see you are from Melb, have you been to the mothercare shops there to see if they have the 25% off the spin?

Thanks Belle. I ended up going with the Spin pram - the 25% off sale ended last sunday so had to layby it before the sale finished to get it for $671 (got it at Mothercare at Highpoint).
Didn't look at the Love n Care Nova, but had a good look at the Strider - it just seemed way too wide & certainly didn't fold up as nicely as the Spin pram. Plus you get locked in to the capsule you need to buy.
I'm happy with my choice - Hubby & I had a really good play with it. It's so easy to fold up & hardly takes up any space in my car boot (I have a honda accord sedan). Also the liner/cosytoe looks so comfy for bubz.
I guess it'll be a while before I actually get to use it, so I guess the jury is still out on how good it is.
Just a quick update on the spin pram.
Have been using it for over 4 months now & couldn't be happier. It's really easy to fold up and push around and super comfy for bubba. The storage compartment could be a little bigger but I don't use it for much anyways. Highly recommended for anyone in the market for a mid-range priced pram.
