Anyone got, seen to tried the MB Freerider? I'm looking for a buggy board for my BJCM and the BJ glider board doesn't get good reviews with the CIty Mini. I like the fact it has it's own handle and can be positioned to the side and used as a scooter... I managed to find one photo and review on a form which was fairly positive but thought I'd see if anyone else had tried one? It's for my DS1 who is almost 3.
Thought I'd reply myself in case anyone else was interested Tried this out today at my local baby shop. They (awesomely) had the "connector 3" attached to their display BJCM. I showed the Freerider to my DS who promptly zoomed off on it around the store. Even though you can't "steer" with the handle, he seemed to get around well. I then attached it to the City Mini. Took me a minute to figure out the back wheel (it flips up underneath so it swivels) and took DS1 for a ride It was great! Because it is a scooter style board, it is mounted to the side so I can stand beside it to walk/push iykwim. It maneuvered well and because the board has its own handle DS could balance easily.
I ordered one on the spot when it arrives I'll take a photo!
Thought I'd bump this and see how you find the board now you've had it a while? Exchanging my pram for a mountain buggy and boad, and not sure whether to go this one or the other type.
I love it! It works really well on my City Mini so I'm sure it will be great on a MB. It is easy to clip on and off, I usually leave the Freerider handle off so i can easily hook it up out of the way. It handles well on smooth shopping centre floors and bumpy footpaths. I like the fact it's positioned to the side so I can walk beside DS1 and I don't kick the board. It is also long so DS1 can stand towards the back and I can still lay the stroller flat for DS2 to sleep. DS1 loves to ride it as a scooter as well
