Nursery theme not sure what to do!

    Hi all,

I know i still have plenty of time but i ant to start getting things organised. I'm just not sure which way to go for the theme! At this stage i know i want the walls a pale mint green colour,it's after this i get stuck. I not sure on going with a Pooh Bear, baby animals, teddy bears or baby looneytunes/disney theme!!!! I'm keeping it gender nuetral.

Just wondering how everyone else decided on which theme oyu chose for your nursery?

I think having a look around in the shops/online to see what is already commercially available helps - for example you might have an idea that you want Pooh Bear but then when you see the sheet set it really doesn't appeal as much as one with nursery rhyme themes, kwim? Unless you're planning to make/sew it yourself, in which case it will come down to what sort of fabric and raw materials you can find.

I have a sort of jungle animal theme but not any of the ones out there. I painted a pic in his room that I actually did for Izzy, bought an animal mobile from ebay and we have a big giraffe pic on the wall too. I found once bub was born then things fell into place and as they get older it changes a bit too from baby to toddlerish if that makes sense! Keep it simple with simple colours and you can add and change it as you feel like it!

For Harrison, we had stars as a theme, but tried to keep it to white with silver stars until he was born and we knew he was a He.
There are so many cute things that come in a star theme. I just saw the cutest bookshelf & draws from toys r us with stars cut out... too cute! Would have been perfect for us!

A star theme,i hadn't thought of that. There is a bedding set that even has bibs to match at Target i like. It's white & has a silver star embroided into it.
