i'm in the same position as you guys and i'm looking at the mountain buggy urban- as i do lots of walking with my dog. it is a side by side but it looks very thin. the seats are independant of each other.
i'll be interested to see what other people like.

Don't know of any 4 wheelers, but have a look at the Love N Care Europa pram with toddler seat. It's like the P and T's.
Not sure how much you want the seat to recline, but I think this one reclines enough so that a toddler could sleep in it. It reclines more then a car seat anyway, and they seem to be able to sleep in them!
(I know a great sale with them at the moment, so let me know if you want the link)

    Happy shopping!

i have the phil and teds.. But let me say this

If your #1 is going to be 21months!... mmm cant see him wanting to sleep in a pram regardless if out shopping.
My DD is 14 months and the only time she falls asleep in a pram is out of pure exhaustion! and will do this in an upright sitting position anyhow.

BUt does he need to be laying flat? this is what i am saying.
And i guess i would never be out with a toddler and newborn shopping for a full day anyhow

The P&T toddler seat does recline a little bit.

We have the sports model (it was the only one out at the time we got it), but would love to get one of the other ones that fold up with the toddler seat attached and have easier breaks. Also, i still hate the sports recline things with claps and zips on the main seat, if you have a choice between that and a normal recline, choose the other one!
