Phil and Teds traveller port a cot

Hi all,
We are going camping for a few weeks and need a cot to fit in a particular spot in the camper trailer.
This could be a bit cheeky - but does anyone have one we could borrow / hire for a weekend so we can try it before we commit to purchase something that might not work?

Just wondering how you use the angelcare monitor with the phil & teds portacot, do you need to place plywood in the slip as well or does it work against the floor?

Any advice would be much appreciated as i'm thinking of purchasing this portacot but really want to be able to use the monitor with it.

We just slip our monitor pads into the base of the cot where the mattress is supposed to go (it's a pocket in the bottom of the cot) and we put our mattress, with a fitted sheet over it (my mum made one to fit) inside the cot. It works fine there as it's in direct contact with the floor but we always give it a test run before we put her in the cot to make sure it's working ok.

It works really well, we haven't had a problem with it at all. I hope that helps!
