Um. I used to just keep DD2 in the ergo. One of the benefits of being hands-free![]()
Ok, so bit of a maybe silly question here - but if you're out with bub in the ergo and don't have anyone with you to take bub for a spell, how do you go to the loo? Or do you try to only go out for short trips where you won't need to?
Feeling a bit confused here![]()

I sit on loo with child in ergo done it many times, do have issues at times getting jeans done up as tends to be just at wrong spot but doable.
DD made many a trip to the loo with me in her array of slings![]()
Just go man, just go haha!
I go to the toilet all the time wearing ds. When you're out on your own there isn't really much else you can do. No biggie in my eyes

Yes me too, now have an older one who has just TT have learnt that kids think toilet time is a time to share anyway so going with a little one in a carrier seems less weird. My DD sometimes insists on holding my hand when I go because she likes here held so surely I must! Sometimes I think bring on going back to work so can use toilet in peace.
Heh, thanks girls - I thought that might've been the answer just well...I've been allowed to visit the loo on my own for a while and had to wrap my head around having company again this soon![]()
Yep, definitely just go in with them in the carrier haha I found that easier than nowdays when the toddler is threatening to escape out the gap of the bottom of the door or trying to help me wipe lol
I just go with DS in the ergo. I'm not a skirt wearer but I have a friend who is and she will only wear a skirt if she knows it'll be a long time with her DS in the ergo. I just deal with the small struggle to do pants back up properly![]()
lol, funny thread. Yeah, just go!
Yep, I wear the Ergo to the toilet too. Going off topic but I've always wondered how people go to the toilet with a pram when they're out?? Do you take bub and leave the pram outside or leave bub unattended? And what if they're asleep?
I try to find a parents room toilet, or disabled toilet, and take the pram in with me. If not, i take DD in the cubicle with me and leave the pram outside. My DD doesn't sleepso that is not an issue for me.
Prams are easy - even with places that don't have parent's rooms. Just park pram in front of the cubicle and leave door slightly open. Helps if you can snag the end cubicle, less people who have to walk past.
Toilet with bub if wearing a sling. Wait for the end toilet if I must use the ladies, wee super quick and open the door before doing up pants (but I do pull them up first!). ALWAYS offer to watch another mum's baby if she needs to leave the pram outside the cubicle (because one mum always trusts another!) and I will use the disabled toilet if there is not a parents room.
My 6 year old DS still likes to hold my hands and say 'PUSH mum' when I'm on the loo, a hangover from his TT days when I was trying to get him to poo in the toilet! Can't remember the last time I went to the toilet at home without company!!
Another who wearsbub while I pee lol
