i am in LOVE with my rocking chair- use it constantly, couldn't live without it.
mine is a papa glider by swallow.
dh loves it too and often falls asleep in it and spills his beer all over himself.

For #1 we had the rocker in his room and I would do night feeds in there. It was pretty cool.

For #2 I had the best ever scenario - we figured that since I was 'working' during the day watching kids and couldn't nap like with #1, that we'd share the night stuff - dh would get bub up and bring him to me, I'd feed in bed while dh snoozed, and then dh would change his nappy and put him back.
It worked really well because dh falls asleep much more easily than me, and it was the getting out of bed that really woke me up properly. If I sat up in bed but didn't have to get out, I fell back asleep really easily.
Given that he started sleeping through at about 8 weeks, it wasn't something we got sick of long term either I guess.

So, I shared that story because that might be an arrangement that works for you, which could mean you can have a rocker in the main part of the house for day feeds.

Not sure where you are from but FWIW Babyco in Narre Warren do not have any of the Swallow - Papa Gliders in stock. They have no idea when they are coming in either. 2 months ago DH and I went looking for them and were told they would be in in August so I rang them yesterday and they said they still haven't come in and had no idea how much longer they would be.

Just a little FYI in case you went looking in this store for them

we have a rocker that we have out in the lounge - similar reasons to feeb. if DD is really struggling to settle, we feed laying down in bed. in all honesty, daddy settles her in the rocker more than i do!

i looked at putting it in her bedroom but figured i would rarely sit in there as she tends to take ages to feed and i want her to be used to noise. we tend to feed anywhere and everywhere. yesterday it was outside... i do love the rocker for when she's really grizzly - not so much for her, for me though lol
Same as BG, our rocker is in our lounge as in the middle of the night I can pop the TV on or if feeding during the day I can be around DH rather than tucked away in Baileys room. Its a multi-purpose chair as I feed, settle, read to Bailey in it (have fallen asleep in it myself a few times LOL)

We bought our rocking chair 2nd had from friends and I have to say I'd be lost without it, its a 'must by' IMO, but thats just me
