    Sliding down in her hammock

Miss A has been sliding down in her hammock so that when I get her out for a night feed she looks like Grug - one big round ball with two feet sticking out from underneath. She must be fairly comfortable because she is sleeping that way but I can't imagine its very good for her physically. I do have it slightly lifted at her head end but when she is first put down that tilt is tiny - certainly not like a slope she would slide down.

Is this normal for hammocks, or do I just have the shimmy queen?

What brand of hammock are you using? It's not ideal for her to shift down to the bottom.

Its a hushamok Trish. I got it because I was wary of the amount of curve in some other brands and it seemed not so bendy, but now I'm wondering if its the non-bendyness that is causing/contributing to this problem

Hmmm, I'm not sure about the Hushamok, I've never seen one IRL so I can't comment. You might want to try contacting them and ask if there is a way to raise the foot end? The Amby baby hammock has velcro that allows the foot end to be raised, it might be worth asking if they have a similar solution?

Thanks Trish. Will do that but from the look of it I can't see how that would work - the base has a soft but rigid (cos that makes sense!!) plastic thing in it. I had a little play and it doesn't seem as if it would be too easy to really curve.

I had a look on the Amby website and see that I can buy components separately. How does the actual hammock part attach onto the arm? Wondering if it would be possible to buy just the fabric/sling bit and attach it onto the arm that the hushamok has, which would do away with my need to buy the Amby spring and arm (I think my DH would do his nut if I told him we had to buy all the stuff - will be enough of a job talking him into just the hammock bit)

The sling part attaches to the hook of the frame with the spring ITMS? The spring is what connects both parts together. Will PM you to chat further
