Which sling do you prefer?

If you are looking at a one shouldered sling I would go for one that has a really wide piece of fabric over the shoulder, like the peanut shell. I have a hotsling (similar design) and used it until my son was almost 2. Before that we used a ring sling that was narrow over the shoulder and I found it uncomfortable even with a small bub.

oh I love my ergo too! Except in the hotter weather I find it bulky. Will be better when bubs is bigger I think Infant insert I found useless... too big a baby, too big were my boobs!

We're going to the baby shop today - hopefully they will let us try a few out with Larissa in them. In response to your question salsa it seems to depend what moods shes in, she loves being upright if shes awake but lying in my arms if she wants to go to sleep.

I love my Hug a bub, my catbirdbaby mei tai and the ellaroo mei tai, they are all fab. I use the HAB around the house, dont like how so much of the material drops to the floor when out and about. My cat bird baby is my one of choice for trips out now, the ellaroo is still a little big for my baby (8 weeks old).

I hated the bubzilla, according to the sizing i was a medium, well it was way too big, so was the small! gave up after that, dd didnt like being in the pouch anyway.

and of course the close baby carrier is great hint hint!!

Kitten - I found the same issues with the HAB and I did find it hard to put on when out and about. I was considering looking at other types for out and about. I'll have a look at the catbird one. Do you find it easier to put on when out?

bek - yes, the catbird is much easier, but a little bit of the straps do still touch the ground (not much though!) and because it comes with a lil clip you can make it narrow in the crutch, so their legs can dangle out (like the HAB). My baby doenst like the froggy position in the ellaroo.
