I cannot rave about it enough. Bub is really snug in there. it's like having them back in your tummy. They go over both shoulders and your back, so they distribute the weight ereally well and are super-comfy. Good for bub's developing spine, too.
They aren't cheap for what they are, but, they are worth their weight in gold. I used mine for about 4-5 hours every day from about 4 weeks until 6 months or so. They really are hands free, so you can do anything while bub is in there. They are versatile (different positions) and can be used for older kids, too.
If you don't want to spend the money, buy a 5.5m length jersey fabric in your in favourite colour (the strecth needs to go cross ways), cut it in half lengthways (so you end up with 2 x 5.5m strips) and put an iron on motif in the centre. You can hem the edges. There are websites that give instructions on tieing wraps like this.
I have used a pouch sling and didn't find it all that comfy, cause it pulled on one shoulder only. For older bubs, I love the Ergo. Easy to put on and take off, very comfy for both you and bubs and a very handy zippered pocket at the front.
Hi, I am with sunshine_sieben - learning how to use it properly takes 15 minute - once you do it a few time with the DVD that comes with it - it's the best thing since sliced bread! AND it is the best one for your back as well as the baby.
I have just used a Hug a Bub to carry my one year old granddaughter around Japan. It was fantastic. I tried a sling on my back and also the HAB, but i liked the HUB because I was actually wearing it. It goes over your shoulders and back and the support made it very comfy. I used it nearly everyday and it was so easy to get around wearing it. We were in the snow and walked everywhere. It also left my hands free for her three year old brother. Daisy faced outwards if awake or inwards if it was nearly sleeptime. One day she slept for two hours on me.
