    Small bassinettes?

    Hi
I didn't buy a bassinette for DS and he went straight into a cot (well, our bed half the time at night). This was OK as he was very close to our room, and so was practically in our room all the time.
For number 2, I really want the convenience of a bassinette so he can sleep at night in our room and then day sleeps wherever.
I have looked at a lot and they are either hideous (sorry, but I really dislike those frilly things) or HUGE! They are almost the size of a cot anyway. I had in mind sort of a moses basket with handles and a stand. I found some really cool looking mattress things (tetra bed?) but we don't always want him in our bed, and DH would probably stand on him if he was just plonked on the floor on the mattress.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction. I just want something relatively small, so I still have room in our bedroom for us too!
If all else fails the poor kid is going to be in the sock drawer

    TIA
    Jo

I have a baby star brand one and it's not overly big, plus it has the handles that you could take it off the stand and carry it around. From memory it was only about 80cm long. I bought it 9yrs ago now though so I have no idea if they even still make that brand

    Thanks guys.
That Mother's Choice one is lovely, but it'll be a bit hard to move from room to room.
I looked up baby star and they have a very small one that almost looks like a bassinette for a pushchair. I think this might be the way i go...

I had this bassinet with DD (she has grown out of it sadly, she's a big girl now....) and I LOVE< LOVE<LOVE it! You can easily wheel it from room to room (which I did!) and it fit neatly next to the bed as its quite trim.

Anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for.
