It's turning out to be a big decision for us too...the strider 4 seat reclines to 'flat' but the new strider deluxe doesn't! Go figure!? Going back again next week to have another look.

tis weird it doesnt go completely flat...for us is not so much an issue because we'd definitely be getting the capsule as well. how beautiful is the kingfisher colour? Thats what mum first liked about it rofl

Are you happy that a newborn wouldn't fall/slide down the back of it?

We got a bassinette free on a deal (not steelcraft though) and it made me alot happier about having a tiny bubs in the pram - and we used the bassinette HEAPS!

Bassinettes are super handy. I used mine a lot to put DD to sleep in around the house so she could be in the same room as me either as part of the pram or on its own on the floor. I'd wheel her into the bathroom so I could have a shower but also keep an eye on her. And we took it away with us instead of getting a portacot.

I've also used it lately when she's been teething and was tired and grumpy but just wanted to hang around with mum in the living room and lie down with her fluffy blankie.

    Mine was worth every cent.

We decided not to buy the bassinette for our strider 4. Instead we bought the foot muff.
We put DS in the pram with the foot muff, from about 5-6 days old.
We stayed with my parents for a week after leaving hospital, and we would put DS in the pram while we ate dinner. he absolutely loved it.
It's starting to get a bit warm here now, and I have unzipped the top part of the foot muff, and just left the bottom part attached, so he still has a bit of 'packing' around him
