Stroller dilema!! Need a single now but a double in 6 months

I have two babies and have had 5 prams! It takes a bit to get it right and I made a couple of mistakes Now I've got it pretty right though.

I bought the P&Ts and hated it and DD2 really hated it too. TBH I would get yourself a single stroller now and then a double side by side when your next bub comes along. DD1 is nearly 21 months and is still very much in need of having her own pram seat, as opposed to just a toddler seat. I have a steelcraft duo and its great for both the girls - cost $240, folds up nice and small, light weight, decent storage.

I have kept the P&Ts but don't use it at all for both the kids. It is dragged out on the rare occasion I am out with just one of the girls and I'll use it in single mode for DD2 in another year or so when DD1 is able to walk for the whole of a shopping trip.

Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions they are all very much appreciated. I think buying a pram is the hardest out of all baby equipement!!!!! They all look good in the shops but when you get them home you really find out what they are about. I actually have been going up to mums in the shops and getting there opinions on their strollers.

Most interestinly those that have bought P&T's either lurve them or hate them, there is no grey!!!

The P&Ts is definitely a love/hate thing Bekz. I have friends that swear by them and told me what an idiot I was when I started off being a big double side by side for walking and a smaller tandem for shopping/life in the car etc. When the tandem didn't work they all said "I told you so" and that's when I caved in and bought the P&T. Serious waste of money for me - I should have stuck to my "I hate them" position Each to their own though - there seem to be hundreds of happy P&T mums around.
