I brought one of the baby bags on special last time, it lasted me well 6 months and the strap broke clean off, I spoke to a lady at a bag store who also works at a baby store she said this happens alot with that bag. So just thought id let you know.

I brought baby clothes in size000 as ds1 was 8lb 10oz and didnt fit into anything smaller, we ended up needing to grab a few 00000 for ds2 as he was 7lb 1 oz but most of our friends and family brought him clothes in the smaller sizes. I would grab a few things in 000 and 00 and maybe one or two 0000.

Ray, Havent driven the pram thru the checkout, but it is v manuverable, goes up and down my hall like a champ
I dont recon it is much wider than any of the others (I didnt notice that it was anyway - but TBH I didnt really check)
Control Freak, Just a question about the recline, (and pls dont take this the wrong way) do you know for a fact it doesnt recline enough for a newborn or is this just what you recon? Am asking because if it is a fact, I will need to go buy basinette. (is this on sale?)
    TIA, Shell

Hey shell - just my opinion - and I might have been doing it wrong!!! I will try to find one and put a child (my neice) in when I shop tomorrow - she/they (twins) are 2 and at least i will be able to see how propped up they are - i'll let you kno tho! The bass is on sale for $89 - i like the idea of being able to have bubba sleep comfy if i'm out - i'm also due in winter so bass with cover seems warmer too. We need "practice babies" to take shopping with us!!!

Cool thanx Control Freak. I did actually wonder myself when I purchased it but I figured it was about the same recline as the car seat KWIM?
BUTTTTT..... does anyone recon if i bought the basinette, could bubs sleep overnight in it?
I am planning to take him to mums in melb when he is about 10-12 wks old so would I be able to use the basinette as his bed? It is about the same size as a regular basinette.
ANDDDDD...... would he be happy being pushed around lying down at that age or will be want to see a bit more, eg the regular seat?
    Sorry for the hijack

IMO the bassinette will be fine for night time aswell. We bought the bassinette attatchment with our emmaljunga & was going to use that at night time with DD but she ended up going straight into a cot.

We used our emmaljunga with bassinette attatchment for the first 3 or 4 months so I would say at around 10-12 weeks he should be fine without looking around so much. I dont know what your pram seat is like though so if its laid back enough that should also be fine.

Sorry, I'm no help at all!!!!

Control Freak... i sorta had my heart set on strider too, but having seen the specials price i am giving a serious rethink. as well as layby option i also have a 10% of voucher for target from in my baby show bag from the hospy (not sure if i will get away with using it on specials items though...) so decision time. save money, or go with the strider? let me know how you go!

Hi Shell - hijack away!!! One of the reasons i want a bass is to have another sleeping option!

Myson - i like that the cruiser is a bit narrower in the wheels than the strider and the seat actually seems to have a bigger foot area - I REALLY want the new P&Ts Hammerhead (4 wheels) but it doesn't have a bass, cap or a reversible seat and is $$$$ - so am intending this as my "baby" pram and will get a P&T when he/she is a bit bigger OR we have a second bubba! At the price at the moment I can justify a second purchase in the future (mind you I can manage to justify most purchases LOL) or I might get a 2nd hand hammerhead by then!

I haven't even thought about clothes - got lots of hand me downs and need to wait to find out the gender (twin 2yo nieces) so no need to buy ANY girls stuff - but not much boys - but plenty of white for a little babe.

Am off to Sydneys Baby Kingdom today with my SIL (also my bestie b4 i married her bro) to try her girls in some prams and stuff. This is all AFTER my NT scan!

Anyone find any Target bargains be sure to post!!!
