Well this sale has come at the best time - I layby'd the bigger items that i've been researching - soooo happy with the bargains!!! Plus they gave me a goody bag!

    I got....
    S&S Guardian car seat
Steelcraft 3in1 portacot with bonus mobile
    Childcare Harbour cot in white
Steelcraft Orbit Stroller - i've been given a really heavy duty 3 wheeler by my SIL for walking and rough terrain, its great but a bit heavy and will be a pain for quick trips around the place. The Orbit was great.

I intended to get one of the change tables with the bath in it, but didn't like the colours they had there even though good price, so will keep looking. Also need to buy cot mattress. I have a cradle being given to me and that's about all the large items i was planning to get.

Now the rest is the odds and ends.....ahh the fun.

The medela breast pumps are on special.. I only scanned the mini electric, it was down from about $158 down to $128... better than nothing

There was also the childcare baltic cots on special (clearance) from $299 down to $67!!!!!! Too bad we dont need one, that has to be the bargain of the century... there were heaps too so it wasn't just a promotional thing where they sell it super cheap but only have one or two in stock.

Our store has heaps, too bad I dont need much of it.

I ended up getting a bed barrier down from $50 to $31
A bottle warmer which you plug into the car with 20% off
Some gorgeous "my first volleys" sets with pair of baby volley shoes & matching beanie... wont say how much they were because I got a second one for one of my BB friends but it was a bargain.

All in all it was a good day!!

Great to see everyones getting great bargains

I went in today - did a check-out look last night but didn't have time to layby then - and they did raincheck the Steelcraft expressions cot (in the catalogue - would only do it for me if it was in the catalogue) for me as they were out of stock already in Newton SA. store. Did manage to get the pram that I wanted not in the catalogue but still in stock and on special on layby. Still checking a few other items out before doing a raincheck/layby if Target has the ones I/we want.

i did my layby today!! i got everything i wanted.. plus a few extras

EXCEPT the Snugli baby carrier its $30, i only want to get a cheapy type one, as im not real sure about using it. so i'll just keep an eye out at pther targets.

the baby section was such a mess! there was crap everywhere, none of the items were in the right spot with there price tags... the clothes were even worse!

DH and I picked up the FP car seat for $149 - at half price, it seemed a bargain. We got the last one at our local Target - another bloke was there looking for the seat, but we just happened to get there 1 minute earlier. Lucky us, I guess .

Danielle - wow, that cot sounds awesome, I was in there today but didn't have a good look around. I don' t usually buy things this early but for that price, I'd have to. We're going to get another cot rather than put DS in a big bed. It took us a while to get him sleeping this good and we don't want to rock the boat! I wonder if all the stores have them? Might go in on Sunday and check out what they've got. Need a monitor too so thinking of laybying the Angelcare one (even though we brought one last year on sale and it didn't work when we got it home )

I'm considering getting a door gate thingy. My local Target have 'First Years' and another brand 'Baby Club?' which I think is the Target's own brand.

    Any recommendations?

The My first years brand is supposed to be good. I bought my bassinet in that brand. Not too familiar with the other brand though sorry...

DH & i went in yesterday & picked up a 2pk of cot mattress protectors for $21.99 ($8 off), a changetable mattress for $26.99 ($10 off) & a box of nappies.

I could've gone crazy with some of the winter outfits but restrained myself. My MIL gave me strict orders not to buy anything at this sale Then she asked me what date it started, i think she wants to buy a few things for her 1st grandchild.

That's rough that they wouldn't do rainchecks on sold out items. With the prices they offering they either need to order up more or give out rainchecks. What did they expect would happen, seriously.

I agree. I was there on the first day of the sale @ 9:15am and couldn't find a baby wrap I saw on the online catalogue, the lady said they must have sold out already, I said the sale only started 15 minutes ago and there is nobody here. Do you think yiu can go and check out the back.... Seriously, sometimes I think they hate these sales b/c it means they have to actually work!!! he came back from checking out the back and what do you know there was a whole heap of them out the back! Gee she mushave hated me for asking her to go and check!
