Thermometer Recommendations

Hi,

We are looking for some recommendations for baby thermometers.

We have a room and a bath one, but this is specifically for baby.

I have had a friend suggest a "no touch" version - has anyone got any recommendations on a good brand thats not going to break or need to be used 6 times to get a reading?

I'm subscribing for some tips too. I've been umming and erring about one too. I had an ear one but it is too big to get in their ears properly to get an accurate reading - I even brought the kids one. I have heard good and bad things about forehead ones - they can give inaccurate readings if bubby is clammy/sweaty. I use the one under the arm but it getting harder to use as bubby gets bigger and more wiggly. Going to be interesting to see what others say.

I got given one of those Braun ones as a present, and I think it's great. I think there is a newer version of it now which may be better (with mine you can't see the numbers in the dark - the display should light up!)....but you pop it in their ear...press the button and it's DONE...too easy

same as Minimax by the sounds of things - Braun Thermoscan. Has done me through my 3 kids at all ages and works great.

i got mine from a chemist but maybe from dept store by now

I bought one from the chemist that goes under their arm, it has a round disk that sits comfortably and it gives quite a good reading.

Can't think of the brand and it's not with me but it's BLUE..

I've got one of the 'no touch' ones and we find it great. From memory it was about $75 and we just got it from one of the big baby stores.
