Funny I should read this.. We just had our very first false alarm (and I didn't even realise till dh told me lol) I slept through it. Great aren't I.. I now have to move the pads further apart as she was right up one end of the cot which is why it went off..

The only thing I did with it was when we went away and I was putting the monitor into a new bed I would test it to make sure all was still working..

I only had to adjust the sensitivity when we had a fan on. Now I fixed the problem with the fan and its all good to go..

I had false alarms ALL the time once DD was moving - she always ended up in the very corner of the cot. We only had one sensor pad though, and the alarm never woke her.

I couldn't use the ceiling fan because it sensed that as breathing, so I set up an upright one when we needed one. It's nice to know they are so incredibly sensitive though.

You won't be forgetting to turn it off for long - it will train you well!

There should be a little cord that you attach after they start moving to stop false alarms (well ours had one)
