Anyone got any good recommendations? I'm looking at (and almost sold on) a second-hand maclaren vogue. Its going for $200 and there $450 brand new so I think its a bit of a bargain. However, DH thinks we should just get a cheaper brand, and get a new one. Its mainly going to be one that lives in the car as I plan on getting a mountain buggy double for walking. So it will be for the shopping centre once or twice a week. Is it worth getting the maclaren or shall I look at the cheaper alternatives? We're planning on having 3 bubs so my theory is its better to get one good quality than have to buy a pram each time.
Unless you are going to use it or are really tall I would go el cheapo from Big W. We have one of those for walking the dog and it does just fine. No good for jogging or anything major - especially where the child is likely to fall asleep (although zoo trips etc it is fine) but I am glad I just got one of those. I think it is worth every penny.
my dad has a cheap stroller that he keeps in the back of his car for days where he minds ds1 and wants to go to the shopping centre and it's great! i think it cost him about $30 from Big W.
Completely up to you . I personally LOVE Maclaren strollers (once you've tried one you can't go back LOL). They are so easy to use and maneuver around, definitely the best I've ever used (I have a Quest).
I have a Steelcraft Pheonix stroller and love it for trips to the shops. It reclines back too so its great for little bubs and toddlers who still have a nap. Its light and folds up easily too. They retail for about $175 I think.
