I have a Steelcraft Pheonix stroller and love it for trips to the shops. It reclines back too so its great for little bubs and toddlers who still have a nap. Its light and folds up easily too. They retail for about $175 I think.
i love my mclaren vogue and luckely found a great deal and only paid $277. I personally would go for a better one than a cheap $30 one as when i was looking so many u can feel hard metal bars with your hand, even when i was looking at $100 in target.
I have a cheap stroller from Target or Big W that mum gave me as a spare to keep in our other car. We've used it on our nephews and it definitely does the job. We have a Baby Jogger as our 'good' pram.
I am not a fan of the cheap strollers - I think they look really uncomfortable for bubs. Also I am tall so most of the cheap ones are out for me.
Once DS was big enough we went for the Quicksmart EasyFold stroller. Its Australian and folds up in a zigzag onto itself. Small enough to fit in the footwell of our car and has its own carry bag (useful for us as we were going interstate a lot at the time). You can get them from ToyRUs and Big W now for around $150 I think. Good range of colours now too.
These ones have a recline for napping, a sunshade (some of the cheap ones dont), rain shield and are padded.
