I can't add anything to Sarah's list - my Vanchi (the green one) has all of those things - and it wears well too. It comes with a bottle holder thingy and one for dummies that is great. I use the bottle one for jars of food to take out and Im has a dummy so the dummy holder gets used. The exterior pockets are gareat for lippy and mobile phone.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. A dummy holder is also really good. My current bag doesn't have one but my old one did. I'm thinking of buying a "Paci Pod" for Juliette's dummies cos they keep getting lost.

the green Vanchi? The green messenger one? *drools slightly* and it does everything you need in a Nappy Bag? Ooooh! Thanks Flowerchild and thanks Sarah_H for a great list, I think you've just confirmed another item to buy!

*accidentally leaves VanChi site up for DH to see...*

And AnnaBelle, totally agree with the "hey I am a Mum but I can still look stylish!!!" comment!

I haven't bought one yet, but Baby Co had nice looking nappy bags that were really cheap, like $25 or something. They also had larger ones that fold out and can store a heap of stuff, they were more expensive but still under $100.

I don't know what brand they were, and they weren't patent leather or anything, but they looked good to me. Then again, I haven't had any actual hands on experience with nappy bags so please correct me if you know otherwise (please do, or I'll probably end up buying one of these bags).

My sister got a Madison Rose Nappy Bag. It is gorgeous. Just big enough to fit everything in.
My Mum bought me a Mimco nappy bag. It is fantastic, but a little on the large side. I find i take way more stuff than I need to cause I can...

I want to get another bag... but i think my husband would kill me!

I don't have much idea about this as our first baby isn't due until November, but on the weekend I bought a "Kapoochi Classic Mini" black backpack. It has a middle zip section that has a "false bottom" - so you put folded nappies under the divider, and "dry" things like change of clothes, your wallet/phone etc above it, then the front zip section allows you to access the nappies through the side opening to the false bottom rather than digging through all the stuff in the main part of the pack, also includes a plastic folder for nappy wipes and a change mat, various pockets - so you can keep all the creams etc separate from your other stuff in the middle of the backpack. It also includes a side insulated pocket for bottle/food etc.

It seems pretty compact and doesn't look at all like a nappy bag. You have the option of wearing it as a little backpack or tucking in the shoulder straps and using the longer shoulder straps to carry on one shoulder like a handbag. Mine cost $90 which I guess is getting a bit expensive but I've also seen dearer bags so maybe isn't too bad ?
