I washed all mine b/c someone told me they needed to be washed before coming into contact with a newborns skin.

I would generally wash anything I bought from the shops before using it anyway. ie/ sheets, towels, clothing etc.

Perhaps if you just wash the things you think you will be taking to the hospital and leave the rest until you get home so if you want to change something you have the option to do so. I have exchanged things with the tag off, but as long as you have the receipt I wouldn't stress too much.

    All the best.

hmm, trouble is I don't have that much stuff to start with. I'll definitely wash sheets, blankets and towels as I know they'll fit the cot.. I'm just not too sure what to do with regard to clothes, I apparently need 5 outfits and 5 singlets for the hospital stay, that's most of what I've got so far.
Pumpkin patch at least have said I must leave the tags on if I want to return them.
I'm not too sure about target and other places.
