I got a spill proof cup a while ago which cost me about $10 and DD doesn't like it at all. She just bites it but doesn't actually drink from it so I ended up getting a pack of 6 of the take & toss cups. They do leak a little which is the downside, but DD loves using them. I didn't even have to "teach" her to use it, I just handed it to her and it went straight in the mouth and she started sucking. She just takes a small mouthful at a time, swallows, then takes another mouthful and this goes on for a while, then she keeps taking mouthfuls and blowing raspberries and it becomes a game. Thankfully I only use water so it doesn't create a sticky mess.
From past experince an expensive excerise finding the right one for your child!!!
I have used a Mag Mag and I was eyeing off the new Nuby ones the other day, but wanted to hear from someone else what they were like before I "invested" in one.(Previous Nuby was good but kids bit the top off,( bit of a worry) and ripped the top open by sticking fingers in!!!) I agree with the others some of them you can't even get the water out of???? Straw types are good but I always worry about the cleaning of them??? I only use water in them but still....food from there mouth goes down the straw.
In the end I bought cheapies or take and toss, and did'nt worry about water leaking tooo much. Or a small bottle....
Nuby all the way. I have tried about a million different ones over the years (I have a bit of a sippy cup obsession) and they are the absolute best. Through all the stages from sippy cups to straw cups they are ace.
If you wanted to have a look at some different sippy cups IRL, you could just invite me to coffee at M one day you know
i have to say advent im still using the same sipper cup for my third dd its gone throu 2 kids and i only had to replace the non spill seal for hygiene reasons its been droped thrown washed a million times and is still non spill and all in one peice.
