What colour is your Bugaboo Cameleon?

    Hi all,

I have just put a Bugaboo Cameleon on lay-by and I am curious to know what colour combinations other Bugaboo-Obsessed women bought!

I got the sand base with the sand canvas topping. I really liked the colour so decided to have both the base and the topping the same (the lady in the shop said I was weird - you'd think she'd be polite when I'm about to hand over $1500 for a pram!!). But I figure I can always buy different toppings to go with the sand base (pink, blue, chocolate etc). I also bought the sand footmuff and the sand breezy canopy.

I also just bought a new design of Oi Oi bag (mocha with sky blue butterfly print) which matches the sand colour of the Bugaboo perfectly!

Would love to hear what your colour combinations were!!

    We love our bugaboo!

Gee that lady should have kept her thoughts to herself its your choice and your not weird!

We have the dark grey base with the Black topping first! Then I was lucky to get the new canvas toppings so bought it in a royal blue colour! Its gorgeous! I have the footmuff in charcoal and the breezy canopy in black and sand!

I am definately going to buy a pink topping if we have a girl!

I wish the accesories were more available here! but if they were i would be broke

Those combo's sound great boomba! I agree about the lack of availability - and the overall wait for the Bugaboo itself!

I just purchased another topping for my Buagboo which is the canvas in chocolate brown. I think it will look great with my sand base. I'm with you on buying the pink if we ever have a girl too! Tempted to buy the red as well.... ohh there are so many choices! This pram is going to send me broke!

I have ordered the Charcoal Base with the Red Topper all in Canvas, I have also ordered the Breezy in Red along with the Footmuff in Red - I love Red and thought it was going to be pretty neutral!! DH loves the red too! I also have ordered the cup holder and UV Shade, which covers everything really!!

I hear you about the delays, I ordered mine at the end of February and when I went in to make another payment I nearly had a fit when they said 5-6months, I was like "Nooooo!!!" But eventually - well a week late I got confirmation that mine was ordered before the end of february and it should arrive at the end of April, I wasn't going to be waiting until September, as our little Bean would have well and truely been here!!

We are sooo excited about our Buga!!!

When we were going to get one I wanted a Charcoal base with Off White Canvas topping. We got a Quinny Buzz in Midnight instead.

My only concern with the light bases (ie, Sand) is that they get dirty when bubs is bigger and grubbier. Charcoal would be easier to keep clean IMO.

Our Bug has a charcoal base with a red canvas topping, it's really striking and I love it.

I also bought a red footmuff for when Baxter is a bit older and makes it into the chair. Plus I bought a cup holder at a DJ's sale. We got 10% off our Bug at Babyland in Perth which makes a real difference to the price.

I hear you with the discount making it more worthwhile Shogal - Buga is not cheap! I got 10% off, plus a $160 voucher to spend instore - it was a deal being offered by Kid Central, but I wanted to get it closer to home and tried Baby Central, Magill Road (South Australia), so my $310 saving basically paid for the extras! I was soo angry when DJ's bumped their price up to $1779, they would have matched the discounted price but not the voucher, so they missed out on my sale!!

The lady in the baby shop keeps asking me if I'm sure about the colour combo I have picked. I really didn't want to have a dark pram - hence choosing the sand base with the sand topping. I still haven't seen it as it hasn't come in - but I'm sure it's what I want.

Do you reckon having two of the same colours will still look good? I also have a chocolate brown topping and plan on buying red and either pink or blue.

I saw a denim bug at the shops the other day - loved that too!

I think it will look great if thats what you want! The shop lady is not the one who will be pushing their child proudly in it!
The only thing is when bubs gets a bit older it may get extremely dirty? But I am sure a wipe would fix it!

Love the sound of sand and chocolate!

Denim came out a couple of weeks after we got ours and i wanted to swap Have been thinking of maybe just getting the topping part?

I thought about the base getting dirty, but I figure that it's all machine washable so it's not a huge deal.

I'm thinking about swapping for the denim too!!! It's such a hard decision because it's so much money and it's not easy to change it once it's yours! lol

I probably won't though - I won't be able to get a matching breezy canopy or footmuff...

Which one do you honestly think is nicer - sand or denim? I'm almost about to ring the shop..... AHHH

    Yep I caved!!!

I am going to change my sand/sand bugaboo to a denim bugaboo!! This means I won't get a breezy canopy or a footmuff in denim but I can always get them later in other colours.

I also have to change my OiOi bag now - I'm swapping the Mocha/Sky Blue Butterfly print for a Midnight Moroccan Tile print.

    What do you think??

I just lay-buyed a Demin Bugaboo...just fell in love with it....and you don't see many out and about.

Has anyone looked at the car seat adaptors for the Bugaboo, i know the maxi cosi fits but is not approved in Aus....also the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio is approved i think but is not stocked anywhere yet....does anyone know anything else.

    Hope everyone is well

Hi Pooks, the Maxi Cosi and the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio are the only car seats that are compatible with the Bugaboo. The Primo will be available for purchase in Australia in July 08 :woot:

I have read that they will be a bit on the pricey side - around $400!

My denim Bugaboo is taking longer than usual to order in - what about yours???

So does that mean they will click into the Buga? Sorry didn't realise you get seats that would do that!

I have already ordered my S&S Meridian, and will stick with that, but it is interesting! Maybe if we need a second seat later I can look at one of those.

Still no news on mine arriving - supposed to be middle of this month, ordered at the end of February - when did everyone else order theirs? But have recieved ETA's from April, May as well and nothing has arrived!!

You can buy adaptors for the car seats. I guess they would be handy if you have a sleeping baby and you don't want to disturb them. You just pull it out of the car and click it onto the Bugaboo base! Not sure which way we will go yet - we like the meridian as well but we have heaps of time so we might look into the Primo as well.

I've been told that my bug will be three months - thats from last week as I only just changed my mind about the colour and they had to do a new order.
