    You'll need to buy a maxi rider car seat for N, because with the new law changes he wont be able to legally be in an ordinary booster. The new bub will only be in a capsule for a little while and then bubs will need the car seat N is in now, and he'll need the maxi rider (or other 5 point harnessed seat). When our second came along, we kept L in the cot till E was big enough to go into it and then we put L in a single bed, so that's something you may need too - I really can't see the point in getting a second cot when he could be 2 or older when this bub is born and will be ready for a big bed anyway. You'll need a second lot of bedroom furniture - drawers, wardrobe etc. Plus if you wanted to do a new room for N and keep his room as the nursery etc. But that's stuff that can be done later anyway, so you don't need to do it all at once. Then if they are different seasons, then there will be clothes you'll need etc. I know you do a bit of walking, so getting a toddler seat on your pram might be the way to go - not sure if the buggaboo has that attachment (they have every other bell and whistle, so I imagine they would LMAO)

    For our eldest we got her a big girl bed set, bedding and a maxi rider car seat. No need for new pram or toddler seat as DD1 is old enough to walk where we need to go.

    For the new bubs even though we had another girl we did need to buy quite a few clothes. It was colder so we needed some warmer outfits, plus with DD1 I did the clothes for her fairly minimally. They were very worn and stained, also due to her not moving through sizes quickly. I also bought extra as 2nd time around with 2 to look after I did not want to be washing all the time. Bought a rocker, wished I had one with DD1, has been very handy with this bubs, I did buy it with gift money though. Have bought a few extra toys, some of the old ones a well loved, plus it is nice to have something that is just the new baby's.

    I think you can only get a skate board for the Bugaboo not a toddler seat so you will need one of those.

    I think
    - a capsule (if you don't already have one) and carseat
    - a bed for the older child so bubs can have the cot
    - clothes (if different season or gender)
    - new bottles, dummies, nappies etc for the baby

    I have also bought a sling which I didn't have with DD as I think it will make doing things easier. I actually haven't bought anything else yet - eek!

    I'm about to do my list today - so here is what I've come up with so far.

    * New Muslin Wraps -as the old ones look a bit "worn" - plus this baby is "apparently" a different gender
    * Booster Seat for DS
    * New Bassinet Mattress
    * New Cot Mattress
    * New Cloth Nappies - used as burp cloths - mine have been over loved
    * Gender specific clothes - but not too much as I have alot of neutrals from DS
    * New bottles
    * New dummies
    * New born nappies

    Just thought I would say, you don't need a new matress for cot I looked at the website for kids and sids and they say second hand etc are fine aslong as stalled ok, and since you still been using it this should not be an issue. Me two eldest are 3 years aprat and I hired a capsule so that dd#1 could stay in the car seat longer and then got a booster for her when she was 3 1/2 she is very tall for her age so had actually out grown the car seat at the same time.

    Looking back a pram that could take a toddler seat would of been helpfull for long trips because she would get tired and want a sleep and i would end up carring the baby.
