We've ordered a Silver Cross Sleepover Classic (the classic chasis has the big wheels). It's a big, solid pram & currently comes with a bunch of free extras. The Emmalunga might be a bit easier to use, but it's twice the price of the Silver Cross.
Smaller wheels help with manouverability (sp) if they are swivel wheels. A lot of them can spin on a dime, which is useful in shopping centres etc. The Silver Cross will be great for taking bub for a long walk over various terrain, but it's heavy and bulky. However, it's good for people with long strides, as we found we were both kicking the other types of prams when trying them out.
Just a tip - make sure what ever you buy fits in the boot of your car comfortably.
Oh tell me about it.. we've settled on a hand me down as all the prams I 'liked' had crappy wheels, which even the shop assistants said that they are crap, esp on the terrains in our areas.. we are in the country, I go to a shopping centre maybe once a month and all the prams are designed for shopping mums. Grrr..
I walk alot around my area, there are lots of trails but they are gravel. The new pram wheels would shatter in a day. It's Stupid! And I hate the look of 3 wheel prams.
It wsnt this hard when I had DD! LOL, I like the silvercross Tashy - DP says it looks too old fashioned I like that it's suitable up to the toddler years and converts to a bed at night ... I might have to buy one without him knowing ... haha, just kidding. I dont mind the jogger prams, but they scare me a little (just with what I've heard and seen on tv)
Some of the small wheels look ok, and i guess like mummytummy they are kind of growing on me, but i cant say they would be my first preference.
