Nope I wouldn't either as you want to be 200% sure that seat is not damaged at all.

Baby Love have a similar seat out that is cheaper. We had to go for one when we had to replace the Maxi Rider after an accident as we could not longer get the Maxi Rider easily down this way. Very happy with it so far.
Is that the Ezy combo, it's the only other one on the RACV website that is a higher rating than the maxirider.
Does the headrest thing adjust like the maxirider? only reason i ask is my niece is 7 this year and still in her maxi-rider as the headrest bit extends so far.
It does look quite similar and for over $100 less.
That is it, will have to get back to you on the details, it is in DH's car and he is out. DD2 is only 3, so we are still using the harness. Pretty sure the headrest does not move, but we don't have that option on the Maxi Rider we have in my car.
Cool, i think it has the same weight range as the maxirider AHR anyway so it might be worth looking at but i think i know that DP will say just get them the same seat![]()
We did. You can see if a car seat has been damaged. Our capsule is an ebay purchase and it has "done the rounds" amongst our friends too. All of our friends knew it was an ebay purchase, all were satisfied that it was undamaged.
IMO the recommendations on "don't buy second hand, it might be damaged" are there to protect nufties who can't be trusted. In the same way all baby shops have "car seat fitters" on standby. Because only a "professional carseat fitter" can be trusted to do it right? Yeah, so some guy who has READ the instructions is a "professional"? Hmmm.
I'd rather let my engineer DH fit the carseat....
I did but I put the condition on the purchase that I would pay cash on pick-up and I would only take the seat after I inspected it and was happy that there was no damage to the seat.
