Question Would You ? - Carseat Off E-Bay??

Once we eventually get a new car i want to put DD2 straight into a maxirider AHR like her big sister.

I love them, i think they are a great seat and although we don't have the $$ we are happy to pay for a good brand and a seat we trust.
Now looking on e-bay there are some 2nd's that look to be in great condition selling for say $100 less than if we bought brand new... would you ever buy a carseat off e-bay?

I mean this is my daughters safety

I wouldn't. Only becasue you don't know the history. You should replace car seats after they've been in an accident, however minor it may be and ebay sellers could lie and tell you it hasn't been in an accident. I would prefer to spend the extra and buy a new one so I know its history.

check the racv car seat ratings..... there are others that rate higher for safety that are cheaper

Nope I wouldn't either as you want to be 200% sure that seat is not damaged at all.

No I wouldn't. I would only get a seat second hand from a friend I trust to speak the truth.
