hi hun. i bulk buy on eBay, i get tests for around 20 cents each from Fertility2Friend . i can't say if they're good or not, as i haven't had a BFP with those. my first BFP (which resulted in a m/c) was taken with a FRER, and didn't have any internet cheapies to compare. but the OPKs from Fertility2Friend work great! sorry i wasn't much help.. lol

I have tried a few bulk ebay ones & also lullaby conceptions. Sorry to say nothing compares to First Response for early detection as far as i'm concerned. When i have had quite a dark line on FR, i have to squint, hop on one leg & do a dance to see a barely there line on others . Hope i at least made you smile.

Lol yeah me too! Theres also something safe and reassuring about the frer being in the big solid plastic casing where you can put the lid on and religiously protect that bfp... many times dh thought i'd gone insane as i clutched my frer and carried it around in my purse so i could keep checking the bfp was still there

I just cant afford them for ocd-poas ways!

I was disappointed in the oracle ones. I didn't get a BFP until 13dpo and even then it faded to nothing when it dried. The BFP on the FRER from the same urine sample was clear as day, even after drying.

A friend recommended the inpregnancy ones (ebay), but I haven't had a BFP since buying them to test them out myself. Her only criticism of them was that they weren't at their darkest until 20 or 30 mins after testing. Of course, she is pg with twins, so she might have gotten an early BFP with any brand...

All the Americans I speak to rave about the Wondfos lately, but I don't know if we can buy them here?

wondfos are ALL the rage in america, and the FRERs are frowned upon, giving many evap/false positives! (but my experience with the FRERs in australia have been great)

FRERs are still considered the "best" but they are more expensive. You can get Wondfos on Amazon and they are pretty cheap. There was a recall on them last year though because of false positives. Stay away from the blue ones (any brand) as they are notoriously unreliable.

I used to agree with you, but lately I've been getting funny things with the FRERs. Frequently (almost always, to be honest) the test strip is visible while the (BFN) test is wet (the time frame in which you're meant to look) and I have actually had one replaced because it gave me TWO test lines (ie 2 test lines plus the control, so 3 lines total!) and was actually a BFN. I have much less faith in them than I used to, but I agree that they are probably still the best of the commonly available ones here in Australia (for now), aside from the digis ($$$). Love the digis!!

N2L, 100% with you on avoiding any blue dye ones!!
