    Coloured evap line??

So, DH and I are struggling to decide whether to have a fourth (and final!) baby. We DTD this month about 5 days before I O'd, no contraception. First question - sperm survives about 3 days doesn't it, not 5?

So, just for laughs, I did a POAS yesterday afternoon. I O'd about 7 days ago according to my CM and we have not DTD since the time 5 days prior (have been away and have had random children in our hotel bed each night and the others in a bed a metre away! No such thing as a romantic holiday with 3 kids!!). The POAS was negative, but I left it on the bathroom bench. I just went to tidy the bathroom and noticed a second line. It is feint, but definitely there. But it is purple, not clear like evap lines I have seen before. It's a FRER. So, second question - are evap lines ever coloured?? TIA.

Lol... yes, another addict here! Will wait a couple of days and then test again. Er... maybe I'll wait a couple of days. Or maybe tomorrow?

I think it is very unlikely to be a BFP given the lack of lovin' around O, but I've never seen a coloured evap line in all my years of POAS addiction??

Ooh! When did you check the test? With my last pregnancy my first bfp was at 8dpo and it was very slow to come up- within the 10 min mark but just, say around 8-9 minutes. Faint but it was definitely pink. I've had shoddy second lines with frer before but they've been white not at all coloured.

Firstly I am utd and we dtd 6 days before Oing lol

And that also happened to me, I got eager and POAS like 7 dpo and there was no line but left the stick in the bathroom and came back a few hours later to find a second line another test at 10 dpo confirmed I was indeed utd

It would have been about 20hrs between doing the test and noticing the line, so plenty of time for an evap line. I thought the chances of a real BFP were pretty much nil, but Raffy... you make me wonder!!

In my limited experience I haven't seen a coloured evap line. Test again!! (Eagerly awaiting BFP!)

I didn't do a POAS this morning, slept in and was in a big rush to get the big kids to school! Trying to hold out... I really don't think it is likely to be a BFP given the timing. It makes it much easier to refrain from testing - when we are actively trying I start testing daily from.... ahh, about two days after O!!

    Nope, around 5 I think.

Both DD1 and DD2 were from DTD on day 9 of my cycle, and OĆ*ng on day 14.......
