Confused about dates - can anyone help please?

So my period is due this wed coming which is the 28th July. The packets of First Response tests I have say the following:

Test 6 days before missed period (5 days before the expected period) test is 62% accurate, 5 days before it is 78%, 4 days before is 87%, 98% three days before and 99% 2 days before.

So my question is, am I 5 days before my missed period or 6 today? Do I count today as a day or ? And if thats teh case the test would only be 62% accurate today? Yes?

So confused....

I thought I had a small implantation bleed thursday just passed so if that really was then I would have thought I would be able to get a positive test result now if I was pregnant?

I tested 6 days before my period was due... POAS on Wed, bleed wasn't due until Monday and I got a very faint Positive. That was 9DPO. Not sure about all the % rates... too confusing! I guess it really depends on how fast yor hormones kick in. I've know women to still get a neg result the day after their period was due. Sometimes only time will tell Good luck

If AF is due on Wed the 29th (?), based on you having a 14 days LP I would think that you were 10DPO today.

The earliest I have ever got a BFP is 10DPO so I would think it is possible for you to get a very faint positive result today, however it is still early and some people do not get a positive result even if hey are pregnant until AF is due or even after.

So to answer your question in short, I would say you are 4 days before your missed period. It is possible to get a faint positive now, but make sure you wait until tomorrow and use your first morning urine, and if it is negative do not stress yourself because it is still early.

I got my period Thursday 2nd July, which only lasted for a day. Im pretty certain I ovulated tues 14th and then I had a tiny little bit of blood when I wiped on thursday morning just gone twice and thats it.

So you think that even though I got a negative this morning I shouldnt' give up?

I have been trying for 5 months now but up until this month I have never thought it was possible as I was having mid month bleeds etc so I knew I wasn't. I went to specilast this month who gave me tablets to clear an infection and I have had not had any bleeds so its the first month I got past 14 days without a bleed and the hope I could possibly be pregnant.

LP = Luteal Phase (Time from ovulation to start of your period)

If you ovulated on the 14th, then you would be 11DPO today. I think that there is still time to get a BFP, I know it is hard to wait, but maybe test again on Monday?

The bleeding you had is the right time for an implantation bleed so that you get your BFP this month.

thank you so much I feel really stupid.

I did another test this morning, FMU and it was still negative and I'm pretty sure I'm getting my period now.

Just confused really about the 1 positive test I got and the "implantation bleed" - oh well yet another month gone

I just can't believe its not working I know it hasn't been that long but its just killing me inside :-(

there is no reason for you to feel stupid.

I'm sorry that you got another negative result. Stay positive until the horrible AF shows up though.

Are you charting/temping? Sometimes this is a good way to see which way things are going before AF arrive (if she does).

TTC is hard on your heart, but once you get there all that heartache will disappear.

I haven't been charting or anything - actually really wouldn't know the first thing to do, but I'll do a search on here and I'm sure I will be able to find a thread to explain to me what to do.

I was just using those at home ovulation kits which I thought were quite acurate but maybe I am still doing it on the wrong days? God I don't know.

Ovulation tests don't work for me, well maybe I am just silly as I could never tell a true positive from negative!
