Hi,
Congrats! I was told that it is extremely rare that you would get a false positive... and when you do it is more likely relating to medication and a rare condition when the interaction certain substances (?from our body) affect the test.
I was also told that 50% of pregnancy ends early because of failure to proper implantation (or chromosome abnormality) so the embie might have implanted, produce some significant hcg level but quickly drops back to a nonsignificant level and the woman would have her AF even thought it is slightly late (from a few days to week). This is the reason why one might get a BFP before AF due but then nothing on BT or a few days later. That's why it is always advisable to do HPT when you have missed your period.
Hope this helps.
