    evap line?? confused

I did a HPK this morning with a FR brand. I'm 16DPO (I don't get AF until I stop taking some fertility medication so 16 days isn't significant in itself) and I got a feint line within say 5 - 10 mins. I"ve never had a feint line before. I followed up and did another one about half an hours later and i got a negative.

Is this an evap line? Why would I get a feint line one time and immediately after no line.

I also did a HPK on 14DPO and had no line.

What are your thoughts? Has this happened to you?

If FR is first response.. they arnt usually known for evap lines. Are you able to take a picture of it to show us? If your unsure.. wait a week or so and test again.

Any faint lines I have had with FR tests have resuted in a BFP, hopefully for you also. I would re-test in a day or two.

sounds positive to me, the second test was only 30 min later so your urine would of been very weak it wouldnt of had time to sit and build up its concentration..

if your first test was done with FMU it is more accurate as your have around 5-6 hours of urine in your bladder so a good strength.

retest in 3 days if your unsure..

hope you get the result you want

    Hey girls,

    Thanks for your responses.

I'm not getting my hopes up yet. After seeing negative upon negative for the last 11 months i'm just excited to see an evap line.

Kawazuki - i did use FMU at 5.30am and then managed to squeeze a bit more out at 6.00am to re-test. I didn't have anything to drink or eat between the test times. Can my urine be weak in these circumstances?

Anyway I had a BT yesterday (part of my fertility medication monitoring) and waiting on a call from my FS to give me the results. Hope she calls soon

If its an evap line it would be grey, not a faint line. Finger crossed for you!!

My FS called and it's an offical BFN. So it was an early rising evap line. Gosh how do you ever tell the difference. This was a pale pink line arising between 5-10 mins following the test. Oh well, a bit of a break from the plain boring old BFN.
