Just wondering how common evap lines are on First Response in stream tests? Apparently there was about a 3hr timeframe between peeing and looking but both tests have faint positives. There was no instant line like my friend had for her other positive HPTS. She is unable to do another test for another few days.
I've only experienced evap lines from Crystal Clear strip tests and have never had an evap line from FP, even weeks later (trying to hide it from the big kids) so this has me stumped. I just want her to retest now!!!! Lol.

The newer FRER have an obvious evap line, it is grey, and if you take the test apart and look at the back of it, you can see the indent that causes the shadow. The indent is where the antibodies sit. If the indent is pink, it's a positive, otherwise it's an evap.
These are definite, pink lines. Very faint but there and we could see them in her darkened bedroom. Wow. I will let her know to pull them apart perhaps or make an appt with the dr.

If they are pink it is positive . Congrats to your friend. They are VERY sensitive, to the point where an obvious but faint line can have a hcg of 5. Perhaps she wants to wait a few days before seeing a GP.
It could be a positive. The only thing is they say not to trust the result if it does not come up in the allocated time. Maybe she should test again in the morning??

Thanks everyone. I might convince her to do another test soon. Her DH is away for work with my DH so she promised him she would wait until he gets back to do another test.
