Ok, I used to be one of those women that took HPT's at face value, if there's a second line you're pregnant, but now after the last 12 months I now have my doubts.
Last year I had 2 MC's and so many false alarms. I used to know my body, but now I doubt it too. I took at HPT (Crystal Clear - the little ones in the Cookie Box) on Tuesday - the first one came up with a very faint second line that was so faint I wasn't even sure if it was really there, so I did another one a few hours later and the second line came up straight away, but it had no colour!!
Don't know what to think!!!
Did another Pee test at Dr's but it was the wrong time to do it as I'd been drinking a fair bit of fluids and my pee was pretty dialted - man I sound like I'm making excuses for a negative result at the Dr - but then he is the one that suggested it.
I know how your feeling and when you want something so much you always look for the positives rather than the negatives.
I did a HPT 2 days before my period was due and it came up negative. I used one of those Early detection HPT which said it detects 5-7 days before your period is due. However I did another one 2 days later and the second line was instant. I went to the Dr's the following day to ask for a blood test so that I could be sure. They did a HPT that the drs had and the dr said it was negative that I wasn't pregnant. I still asked them for a blood test as I had a feeling I was (had sore boobs) I rang the following day for results and they said it came back with high HCG levels so I was pregnant. I am now 16 weeks pregnant.
If I were you I would test again maybe using a different brand and do it using first morning urine this should give you your answer. Fingers crossed!!!!
Last week I did 3 HPTs 2 were bfps and 1 was a bfn but like you the bfn wee was more diluted.
I started bleeding so went for a blood test and it came back as negative.. I don't think 2 HPTs would be bfps if I were not pregnant but I do think it was just a very early mc..
