I have had that happen.... and unfortunately, it was a chemical pregnancy. The egg was fertilized, but didn't implant.
How many DPO are you? It might just be far too early as of yet (your ticker is very early ).
I would give it a couple of days before testing again.
I have my fingers crossed that you get a nice strong BFP in a few days.
I had the same thing the cycle before this one and then a few days later I got AF. I put it down to a chemical pregnancy, it was still so sad when it happened though as I was so excited
I had a very faint positive last month and late AF, I figured it was a false positive. I agree with waiting a few days and test again. After that, perhaps book a GP appointment and expain what's been happening with the tests.
yeh i am going to see my gp next wed, when im at work.. working with gp's is great, just pop in and ask away
so giving it a week to sort itself out..
as i know i ovulated this month so if af is late then why a neg..
how confusion for you. I have had a similar thing happen and was pregnant all along. I began testing really early and had a positive then a negative... then a few days later a postive... when i asked a few people the rationale that made most sense to me was that being so early on in the pregnancy the level of hcg was very small. because of this any little thing could affect the level present in my urine at the time I tested... eg...drank a little too much (not alcohol..lol...just extra fluid to dilute the urine... , didn't allow hcg to build up enough in the urine( going to the toilet too often then still tryign to test), and a whole lot of other very simple things... it is highly unlikely that tests give false positives as the nature in how they work is the line comes up when the certain hormone is present. it can't just show up without the hormone being there... even for a short time...
I have my fingers and toes crossed for you that you will get your positive again and that the tests will continue to show positive results....
I have had this happen with Discover one step - and it was awful... Big hugs my love.
I hope that you get that BFP soon...
Just want to add - a chemical pregnancy is not when the fertilised egg doesn't implant. A woman's body will not produce HCG unless the fertilised egg has implanted. A chemical pregnancy is when the pregnancy does not develop properly - and it is a very early loss usually prior to 6 ish weeks. Just wanted to clarify that...
