I just have to say, these threads have kept me sane soo many times. I need some advice of my own though. I found out on friday with urine test in doctors surgery that I was preg. (sooo excited I was crying). then at about 3 am the next morning i woke up with horrible cramping and beginning to bleed. I went to emergency at Monash Medical Centre and got Mr arroggant Emergency Doctor who took all my tests and was saying stuff as oh you probably have just had a miscarriage but we'll check if it's ectopic. The blood results came back around 7.30 am and my HCG levels were only at 2. The doctor said I wasn't even preg and sent me home. Now I have been throwing up, my nipples are burning again and i am sooo exhausted. All the symptoms i had last week before I went to the doctor. I"ve just done a HPT and have the faintest pink line. Do you think it is possible I was preg and just had low hormones in my blood. Has anyone had this happen.
Sorry can't help you with advice on whether it happens. But for your sake i'd suggest going to your GP and getting a request for a bood test to check your HCG. Doctors aren't perfect and mistakes happen both in pathology's and by doctors. so go by your gut feeling and hopefully you'll get your answers.
it def sounds as though you have been pg. i would most certainly go to your GP and have a follow up BT to see where you are at in terms of HCG and if, unfortunately you have m/c then at least have the chance to have it monitored to make sure that your hormone levels can balance out again.
i'm so sorry that you went through such a horrible time at the emergency. they can be so cruel xx
Thanks for all the support.. I went back to the dr and my OB who told me I definantly had lost another one. I have been in a pretty bad way for a few weeks now. Put back on 4 kilo's and just stuffing my face with food to cope.
But We are trying again so we are just hoping and praying one sticks soon.
I don't know how much more of this i can take.
So sorry for your loss...doctors can be such pigs sometimes.... I just noticed on your signature that you've lost 9 babies...has anyone done any investigations? you get a sticky one soon xx
did your OB offer to do any follow up tests in relation to this loss and the other losses? usually after 2 or 3 you can ask for an assesment to be made to see if there are factors invovled as to why bubby might not be sticking. i recommend checking out the miscarriage/loss section as i remember reading a few posts by ppl going through similar paths.
