OPK question. When to test?

This is the first cycle I have used OPK's so it is all new to me.

I have tested the last 3 days, and yesterday I got a negative but it was darker then the days before. The time I have been testing is 2:40pm.

Due to it being darker yesterday, do i still test at that same time again today, or do I test earlier or later?

I am only doing one test a day and am using confirm.

I dont know much about OPK as i gave up with them as to hard to get same time each day as i am a shift worker!! But sound slike u are doing them at a good time so keep doiing them, I know some girls do multiples in a day and others have done only 1.

I am temping and mucus checking and seem to be getting hang of that just not the preg part!!!!

Feeb- Thankyou for your reply. Yes I am charting too. Just wanted to use OPK's this cycle to see if I actually got ewcm "after" ovulation. I won't be using them again after this one though. Too costy, and charting and mucous checking does the trick
