Need advice from someone familiar with LH surge lines on OPK

I haven't done this for a looooong while, so I need advice. I did an ov test yesterday (11am ish) and it came up with a very strong positive line. I've had copious CM for the past 3-4 days and felt a tad blergh around the abdomen last night ... so all things being equal, I'm pretty sure I've ovulated.

(Background: I ovulated without knowing - I hadn't had AF - after DS1 was born to conceive DS2 and I haven't had AF since DS2 ... so think it's the first time I've ovulated.)

So ... just to see what happened, I did another ov test today about 10am - LH line pale, which according to instructions means no LH surge.

My question:

Strong LH surge indicated yesterday, lots of CM and feeling bit blurgh around tum last night ... I probably did - or was about to - ovulate. You reckon?

Today - I've probably ovulated hence pale LH line.

I'm not trying to over analyse ... I just feel a bit out of practice. Correction ... my body has been a bit out of practice. I'm as clued-in as ever NOT!

Thoughts on when ovulation may have happened (ie, I presume overnight) would be welcome.

Sounds about right.

The LH surge can come up to 48 hours before ovulation. I find the best indictor that ovulation has been and gone is the change in CM (if it's noticable).

What tahybabe said. O should come within 12-48hrs after an LH surge.
