I actually went a bit overboard and took 3 opks that day as the lines were getting darker.....lol u know what its like....
So therefore i was thinking it would have been hard to miss the surge but who knows...maybe the opks were dodgy,,,or like you said they may just not work for me?
Thank you again!!! any more ideas on what may be going on are appreciated...
I had the same issues when I first started using OPK's. I bought them from ebay too and they never were quite dark enough and then nothing the next day. I was told not to drink much for 2 hrs before testing as it can dilute the LH in your system and to also test in the afternoon if you can. I got positive tests but ended up using ovuplan tests from the chemist. they are a bit more expensive but work way more better everytime so no wastage!
Hello everyone I am new to this forum although have looked at many times over the last year or so... There is so much great information on here!
My husband and I have been trying since Sep last year to make baby #1 and I am extreamly excited every month only to be very dissapointed to see my period again Back in Sep I used about 40 OPK tests LOL as I didn't want to miss the peak and by the time it was probably the day I had run out of them So I decided too control myself this month and do only one a day!
Yesterday the OPK had a positive result (I think)... Anna (princessttc)are you pregnant now? From what I can make out the test line on the OPK actually needs to be darker or the same as the test line ... My test had the same colour on the test line and control line from my naked eye although my husband thought it was ever so slightly lighter.... but compared to the others I am going to say it was positive I didn't have to twist my husband arm to not miss the opportunity anyway I will add to my post later with the outcome of todays test
Hey, Lol I havent been on in forever. Im 25 weeks pregnant now and I conceived in the month of posting this!!! Hope it helps Oh and what your mentioning is the darkest my opk ever got!!!!
they always say when the line is as dark or darker..... but personally with my experience i thinks its whats dark for you, if you always have no line and then have a fearly dark line and then no line id say that was your surge for sure!!!! also maybe you just missed the main surge say if it happened soon after you tested last so maybe it was on its way back down. everyone is different and opks are not that easy to read. i always have no line and then an almost positive at ovulation and then a faint line that fades back to nothing. as long as you bd well i wouldnt worry. opks can be stressful and confusing but you had other signs to say that was your surge anyway.
