OPK time limit?

This maybe a stupid question but is an opk test like a hpt in that you cant check it after the time limit. I am using lullaby conceptions and it says read at 5 mins so is it not accurate after that time limit like a hpt?
Just started using them and the line looked darker after the time limit and I dont want to miss ovualtion again this month so any help please!

Cherie, mine go darker too after the 5 mins. I try to only read them at 5 min mark then bin so I dont get confused.

Cherie, i use the same brand as you and it is best to check within the time limit, i find they get darker each day when i ovulate, as i always say though - if in doubt bd anyway
