You might just ovulate late. I am CD 15 and haven't had a + yet. I usually get a + between CD16 and CD20 on a 31 day (possibly) cycle. Hope that helps.
The timing is super important. You should only test between 2 and 5 pm every day at the same time. Most people have their LH surge in the morning but it will not register in your urine till later in the day.
Years ago when I first started using them I was testing in the morning thinking early morning was good.
However, after not noticing my surge, I researched. Some peopleonly surge for 6 hours and some surge for 36 hours. When I knew I was getting close I tested at 2pm and 8pm. It was then that on my 26 day cycle I learned that I was ov on day 18 and 19.
I used the ones from eBay, 50 for $15 or something.
If they don't pick up an LH surge, either, you ov much later like me, you're timing is off as explained above or you might have to discuss with the dr as there might be a bigger reason behind it.
If you ov, you have a surge.
