    Question Out of date HPTs

How come hpt's have an expiry date??

What happens if you use them after the date??

Would they give a false positive? False negative?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier but have you checked out a website called peeonastick dot com - they have anything and everything you could ever want to know about HPTs, photographs, weird experiments, the works. It is a great site.

I have no idea why they would expire. Maybe it's because they aren't as sensitive after a while?

Oooh, I hope you have some good news to share soon

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I did 3 of them, LOL, and they all said the same thing...which I think would be unlikely if they weren't working properly iykwim But DH got me some FRER on the way home anyway which I did! No idea when AF is meant to be due though and I think it might be in the next few days so just waiting now jic...

I've used an expired HPT and OPK test before and both gave me correct results (BFP) and they were about one year out of date.
