Ok so I'm entirely new on the OPK front here. I've never used them before so I wouldn't have a clue what I should be looking out for. Can someone please recommend what brand OPK's have worked for you and that you would recommend.
So far I've gone from just hoping that I'm ovulating but I think it's time I start monitoring my cycle properly if I have any real hopes of falling pg.
For our first round of TTC (which resulted in DD) I first tried internet cheapies then reasonably cheap ones from the pharmacy. I found both too much hard work - too much analysis involved! LOL! I quickly switched to ClearBlue digital OPKs and found them fabulous and fool proof.
They aren't cheap in Australia though (about $70 for 7 tests) but I did manage to find a bulk buy on eBay for this pregnancy from the UK for a fraction of the price. I also charted with both pregnancies and thanks to regular cycles, I had a reasonably good idea of when I ovulate so there wasn't much wastage at all.
I love the smiley face you get on the digital screen when you're about to O. It's a great little incentive to get BDing! I'd highly recommend them.

I currently use some Internet cheapies from eBay (they should be pretty much all the same) because I have a slightly irregular cycle and go through quite a few negatives. It's usually very obvious when they're negative but I don't think they're as good when they're close to being positive itms so when the colour of the 2 lines is similar on the cheapies I double check with the more expensive chemist ones (I prefer ovuplan to first response).
Thanks so much for your replies Taurean and Stephie. My main concern was being let down by buying OPK's that don't work properly. I understand that it is always trial and error with these types of things. FX that I have some luck!
