Think im pregnant but test says neg...

Hey,
I had a baby 4 1/2 months ago.
I am feeling a bit funny and thought I may be pregnant... Ive put on a bit of weight in my belly and I just thought I was getting fat. So I did a test and it says negative.

Then I started to think... What if I fell pregnant soon after I gave birth... That means I could possibly be 3 1/2 months pregnant and do pregnancy tests show up correctly at that stage of things?

Does anyone know?

I fell pg with DD2 when DD1 was 5 weeks old....so i would def think if you were 3.5 months preg you would be getting a BFP

What CD are you on?

How long did it take for you to work out you were pregnant?

I would think you would definitely get a BFP now if you were pg. Your hormones and body can wreak havoc after you've had a bub, you definitely don't feel "normal" for a long time.

If you still think you may be pg, go to your Dr to get a blood test just to be sure.

ETA - BFP = Big Fat Postive (postive pregnancy test). CD = Cycle Day. Pg = pregnant.

I have a similar thing... only I have sore BB's, feel sick and I am on CD44 with 4 BFN's. It's got me stumped! lol

When I was 3.5 months pregnant with my son, I found a pregnancy test in the bathroom drawer when we were moving. I just thought I would test it out.. It said negative so thats why I thought maybe this time it was the same thing...

Hmmm . If that's the case then I highly recommend visiting your GP to get a blood test to find out for sure.

Also, I havent started my periods yet after the birth...
When do they usually come back?

That can happen at any time, it's hard to say. I got mine back when my DS2 was 6.5 months old, but I was breastfeeding.

I would so love to be pregnant again =)
It was a miracle the first time because we only had/have 2% of ever conceiving.

I did 4 tests with my son before it said positive... but I just knew! so kept doing them haha

How long did it take for you to work out you were pregnant?

I found out when i thought it was 7 weeks...but i was actually 6 weeks going by the dating scan

So by then my DD1 was 11 weeks old give or take!

Well i got AF back pretty much straight away...DH and i were purposely not using contraception because we wanted our children close so we were TTC. I guessed around X date AF should be back, but she never did come. I felt a little sick and went off food.

I had AF like cramps for around 2 weeks and thats when i tested..3am in the morning cos DH couldnt wait any longer and he kept telling me i was preg cos boobs were getting bigger and (TMI) he said i was wetter during DTD and thats a sign (according to him..he has now predicted all 3 of my pregnancies).
