TTC - Pos or Neg OPK? Please help :(

Yes, the CD11 and CD12 sticks could be positive. What you're looking for is a test line that is as dark or darker than the control line. The test line on the CD10 test is lighter, so definitely negative.

However, there's two potential problems with the CD11 and CD12 sticks:

1. Some brands of OPK are positive if even some of the test line is darker (like yours are), but some brands require the entire test line to be darker (which yours are not, since there appears to be a dark edge and then a lighter part next to that when I look at them). The only way to know which category your brand falls into is to ask the manufacturer (or the supplier). I count mine as positive when I have a dark edge, but they are a different brand and I always confirm the positive with a digital OPK.

2. It's possible to get false positive OPKs in the 3-4 days after finishing the clomid tablets. I would would be wary of both the CD11 and CD12 ones on that basis. However, there is also a chance that you could O that soon after the clomid tablets, so you can't rule them out either. Annoying and confusing and frustrating, but that's my understanding of the situation.

For now, I'd assume they're positive and make sure you BD to try to catch the egg, but I'd also keep using the opks (and keep BDing) in case you actually O later in the cycle. The norm is to O 5-10 days after the last tablet, but there are some who O earlier and some who O later (and some who don't O at all because they need a higher dose).

Are you charting temps as well so you can confirm O after it happens? If you're temping, you can stop the opks after you get the sustained thermal shift to indicate O has happened.

Well, we BD'd last night and the night before, will try again tonight.
I am getting absolute negs now - Like they were on CD10, but my CP is definitely high, soft and open, I'm not sure how 'wet' is really wet though :s
I had what I thought was O pain yesterday, but it was in both sides so I'm not sure.
I'm not charting temps atm, I did when trying for our last baby but I can't find my basal thermo so I've had to order another and am now waiting on it to arrive. Will be charting if this cycle is neg.

These were First Response OPK's.
No EWCM, which worried me, but I've read Clomid can affect CM.
I have had a lot of clear very thin, watery CM though.
Tests are now definitely negative, like CD10 or lighter.

I had brown spotting on CD 8, 10 & 11. I haven't had brown spotting during O ever before, would that be just because of the Clomid? Or is it a good sign of O'ing?

hmm, i have no advice on clomid! so can't help you with the brown spotting . but i would probably say you have O'd, if the tests are looking lighter than your CD 10 test. i would BD tonight, and tomorrow

Aren't you receiving ultrasounds with the clomid?? It's usual to have a blood test and/or ultrasound to confirm ovulation. I would query your FS if I were you.

No ultrasounds yet, my OB said he won't do them until I've done three rounds of Clomid.
I do have to have bloods done on CD21, then I have an appointment booked for the 3mths mark so if we've had no luck by then we'll start U/S etc.
This is my first Clomid cycle, I was able to get away with just Met last time. This time I'm doing the Clomid/Met combo.
I did have what I thought was O pain yesterday, but usually I only get it on one side and yesterday it was really painful in both sides.

As the others have mentioned, clomid can dry up your CM. A lot of ladies take it with Guaifenesin (I think that's the right one) to help with the CM issue, but it'd probably be best to discuss that with your Dr before doing it. N2L, a lot of GPs and OB/GYNs prescribe clomid without doing any monitoring.
